Gillis Earth

I never really considered what my dream job would be. I love what I do, but I’ve always wanted a job that involves protecting the planet. Yesterday, I was driving to work and saw many road workers building highways using large machines and equipment. I wanted to take a video or picture, but I was driving too fast, which was unsafe. As I was driving, I thought about how one place could transform into something completely different, and how humans could achieve such feats. While I appreciate the benefits of good roads, I also wonder how much we’re taking from the planet and how much damage we’re causing. Sometimes, I question whether there’s a limit to what we can take. The relationship between taking and what we give back to the planet needs to be balanced. If my dream job exists, it would be to protect the planet in a way that ensures a safe and sustainable future for all.
